Every piece is completed entirely by hand without molds, never pursuing the industrial smoothness or precision of mass production. Throughout the creative process, Wang Heng preserves the raw grit, granules, cracks, contours, and hand-shaping traces left by fingertips — allowing the roughness, rusticity, and natural variation of the clay itself to become part of the work's expression.

His subjects are primarily wildlife and dogs. Through careful observation of animals' postures, expressions, and temperament, he captures the unique life state of each creature. Every piece differs naturally in form, expression, and texture, making it impossible to fully replicate — giving each ceramic sculpture its own distinct character and warmth.

Rather than striving for perfection, his works embrace irregular surfaces, natural cracks, and understated forms to convey a cool, restrained, and quietly beautiful aesthetic. Wang Heng hopes that through the humble language of stoneware, viewers can feel — between the tactile roughness of raw clay and the spirit of the animals — a quiet, authentic, and healing life force.
