The artisan selected a unique oatmeal-colored, speckled coarse pottery clay, preserving the natural colored and black mineral particles inherent in the material. When shaping the fur, the artisan eschewed smooth lines, instead using their fingers to masterfully knead, grasp, and stack the clay repeatedly, forming a textured, uneven, and airy clay surface reminiscent of curly fur. It playfully cocks its head, its pair of watery amber eyes blinking with curiosity, and even charmingly pokes out a small, pink tongue.
